A trip to Joanna Furnce

Joanna Furnace complex is a 19th century iron industry. It was created by Samuel Potts, Thomas Rutter, Thomas May, and Thomas Bull. The furnace operated from 1792-1901 in Berks County, PA. The buildings are no longer in use but you can still go visit today. Joanna is a fun place to go with the family to look around at all the buildings and read about the history. Also some small activities and festivals are held there.
