Joanna Furnaces is a complex outside of Morgantown and was a iron furnace constructed in 1792 and closed in 1901, for this reason it’s one of the main historical attraction in the town of Joanna.  Joanna Furnace was the product of rugged individualism, and the furnace “blew out” in 1898, and was shut down soon after, its stand as a remnant of America’s 19th-century industrial power and a functioning example of history. It’s a small scenic area consisting of trees and benches where you can sit and take in your surroundings and see history still preserved and alive today. These pictures were taken with a Nikon Coolpix L820 in November 2016.
