Tucked inside of Elverson, Pennsylvania lies one of the nicest golf courses in the state. Stonewall was founded in 1992 by Tom Doak when he first got to work on the Old Course. The Old Course features a beautiful eighteen hole course that can only be played by foot. Stonewall also has the North Course, which is still a pleasure to play on, but has the option of taking out a cart.
Many events and golf outings are held at Stonewall, as its scenery and courses are immaculate. Big names such as Matt Ryan and Charles Barkley have hosted outings in the past at the Stonewall Old Course. Stonewall is always busy through golf season, but when the season is over it can be equally as bus on the inside. On the Old Course, a restaurant is found on the first floor of the main building that is open year round.
Along with the beautiful courses, Stonewall has areas in which golfers can practice their long and short game before heading out. The ranges are very popular among the golfers as occasionally there are club demos for members. “I’ve been working here for almost a year now, and I look forward to coming in each day. Not only is the view amazing, but the people I work with are too,” said Liam Trofe.
Stonewall is a private golf course, as members are the only ones allowed on the course or inside the clubhouse. Special occasions such as outing or events may others allowed inside the doors. “It’s a great first job and I enjoy the environment of the course,” said Chris Eggert. Stonewall is a place to get away and relax, while playing the beautiful game of golf.
